In June 2005, a two-day conference was held at the Holiday Inn on the Hill in Washington DC, to bring together teachers who have implemented the Sea Perch program in their schools. Also in attendence were representatives from the Navy, Professional Societies, and others interested in the program. There were presentations on the past, present, and future of the Sea Perch program, as well as sharing of some of the wonderful work that teachers have done with their classes. A workshop portion of the conference helped us get feedback on how to improve the program and take it to a national level. Two new classroom projects were presented to the teachers; the Advanced ROV, and the Sea Star Surface Craft. More information on all of these will be made available through the links below.
